A Visit to Erie Community College - North

On Monday March 15th, 2010, WebKids (fifth graders from Martin Luther King Multicultural Institute) visited ECC North Campus for a tour and lunch. Accompanied by their ECC occupational therapy student partners, the children visited the Dental Hygiene, Culinary Arts, Police Academy, and Occupational Therapy programs. The field trip was part of a service-learning project being conducted by students within the Occupational Therapy Assistant Program under the direction of David Merlo, Associate Professor.

Special thanks to:
  • Julie Fusani for extensive help in planning this event.
  • Dan Penfold for arranging funding for lunch.
  • Daemen College for providing transportation.
  • Faculty and students of Dental Hygiene, Culinary Arts, Police Science, and OTA for providing tours.
